Kent has always been good farming country, and a hog roast feels at home here. Orchards, hop gardens and oast houses still shape a lot of the landscape, many of the county's wedding venues are converted barns and farm buildings, and there's no shortage of lawns, paddocks and cricket fields for a big outdoor meal.
We run the whole thing for you. The pig or lamb goes on hours ahead, our team carves to order at the counter, and the salads, potatoes, breads, stuffing and sauces arrive with us. Some Kent events want a straightforward hog roast; others suit a BBQ or a lamb roast, or a combination of all three served side by side. When service finishes, we clear down and leave the site tidy.

We cater all over Kent. These are the towns and cities we're asked about most, and each page has local notes, venue types and nearby areas.

It's a big county, and the events change as you cross it. West Kent — Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells — is commuter country on the edge of the Weald, full of large gardens, village cricket clubs and country weddings. Mid Kent around Maidstone mixes the county town's offices with orchards and farm venues along the Medway valley. The north Kent towns by the Thames and the Medway, including Dartford, Rochester and Chatham, bring a lot of workplace events, community days and big family parties.
Further east, Canterbury and Ashford sit among farmland on either side of the North Downs, and the coast takes over at Folkestone and the Thanet towns of Margate and Broadstairs, where summer means seafront gatherings and parties that run late into the evening. The catering is the same everywhere; the planning is about distances, farm tracks, sea breezes and venue rules.
A whole pig with crackling, stuffing and apple sauce is the classic; a spit-roast lamb suits pork-free guests and summer weddings; and a BBQ gives everyone a choice. Many Kent events combine two. See our hog roast catering and spit-roast lamb pages for how each is cooked and served.

See the menuA BBQ is often the better choice for sports-club days, school fetes, beach-town parties and office lunches where guests want a choice: burgers, sausages, chicken, halloumi and plant-based options with salads and fries. Children's parties and mixed-age crowds usually go this way too.
It can run on its own or alongside a hog roast. See BBQ catering for how it works and the BBQ menu for example packages.

Kent does barn weddings better than almost anywhere. Converted threshing barns, oast houses and farmyard courtyards are a common venue type across the Weald and the Downs, and plenty of couples marry in a marquee on family farmland or in an orchard. A hog roast suits all of them: carved pork or lamb as the main meal with a full table of salads and potatoes, or hot rolls with crackling and apple sauce once the evening crowd arrives.
Many couples do both from a single roast, and some add a BBQ the next day for guests staying on. Read how we approach wedding hog roasts, including separate vegetarian mains and evening food planning, or see our guide to a hog roast for a wedding.
Wedding hog roasts in KentKent's employers are spread along its motorways: offices and business parks around Maidstone and the M20, logistics and industrial estates near Dartford and the Thames, science and business parks near Sittingbourne, and a growing number of firms around Ashford. Summer staff parties, family fun days, site open days and client barbecues are what we're booked for most, with Christmas lunches and parties later in the year.
At work events what matters is a fast queue, clear labelling and one point of contact for the site or facilities team. We can run a hog roast and a BBQ from separate serving points to keep things moving. Our corporate catering page has more detail, and the corporate BBQ planning guide is useful if you're organising one for the first time.
Corporate hog roast & BBQ cateringBig birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and summer garden parties are a large part of our Kent diary. With a roast on the go, the host doesn't have to spend the afternoon at the grill, and there's always a small crowd around the counter watching the carving.
Village gardens in the Weald, seafront houses in Thanet and new-build estates around Ashford all bring different access questions, so tell us about gates, side paths and parking when you enquire. For ideas on menus and numbers, see birthday party catering and private party catering.

About 110 guests for the wedding breakfast and 50 more in the evening. Slow-roasted pork and lamb carved at the counter with new potatoes, a seasonal slaw and three salads, a separately cooked vegetarian main, then crackling rolls from the same roast at nine o'clock.
Around 250 staff and their families on a business-park lawn by the M20. Hog roast and BBQ from two serving points, halloumi and plant-based sausages cooked on their own grill, and every dish labelled for dietary needs so the queue never stalls.
Seventy guests in a back garden a few streets from the seafront. We unload on the road, carry through the side gate, serve from a gazebo on the patio and have everything packed away before the fireworks.
Every menu comes with the salads, sides, breads and sauces that turn a roast into a proper meal — homemade coleslaw, leaf and tomato salads, potato salad, fries or sweet potato fries, and new potatoes in cooler months. Our guide to choosing your sides has ideas.
Vegetarian and vegan mains are cooked separately on request and clearly labelled, and allergen information is available for every dish. Read our allergen and dietary information before booking if any guests have allergies.
We cover the whole of Kent, from the M25 towns in the west to the Thanet coast. When you enquire, send the postcode, where a van and trailer could park, and how far that is from the serving spot. Rural sites can involve farm tracks or soft ground, and seafront streets can be tight on parking in summer, so the more we know the better.
Barn and country-house venues often have approved supplier lists or rules about gas, generators and open flames. Send us your venue's requirements and we'll confirm whether we can meet them before you book.
Send the date, postcode, rough guest numbers and the kind of food you have in mind. A few lines is plenty to start.
We'll suggest a menu, service style and timings that suit the event, and send a clear written quote. Tweak it as much as you like.
Final numbers, dietary requirements, access, parking and timings are agreed in writing ahead of the day, so there are no surprises.
We arrive early, cook everything fresh on site, serve your guests from our counter, and leave the space clean and tidy.
Yes. We cater across the county: Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells in the west, Maidstone and the Medway towns, Canterbury and Ashford, and the coast at Folkestone, Margate and Broadstairs. Send us the postcode and we'll confirm.
Often, yes. Plenty of Kent barn venues welcome outside caterers, though some have an approved list or ask for particular paperwork. Check with the venue first; we can supply our insurance details and a food safety summary if they ask.
Yes. A whole lamb roast, BBQ chicken or a mixed BBQ all work well, and we can run them alongside a hog roast or instead of one. We cook and serve vegetarian and vegan dishes separately when asked, and label everything. See our lamb roast catering for options.
That depends on guest numbers, the menu, how many staff are needed and where the event is. We quote each event individually. Our guide to hog roast costs explains what affects the price, and a quote is free.
Send the date, postcode and rough guest numbers — we'll reply with menu ideas and a clear quote.
