Our hog roast service in Tunbridge Wells
The spa town that grew up around a chalybeate spring, Tunbridge Wells still has its colonnaded Pantiles, a large open common and a lot of handsome Victorian and Regency houses. Its full name is Royal Tunbridge Wells, though almost nobody uses it in conversation. It sits high in the Weald, right on the Sussex border, with farmland, woods and small villages all around.
People here take their food seriously, and a hog roast done properly goes down well. We cook on site, carve pork or lamb to order, and bring homemade-style salads, crackling, stuffing and sauces. For guests who want more choice, a BBQ or a vegetarian main can run alongside.
We cater across Tunbridge Wells as part of our hog roast catering in Kent. For the full picture of how we work, see our our hog roast service page.
Where we cater in Tunbridge Wells
Our events in Tunbridge Wells split between town and country. In town it's garden parties in the larger houses, school and church events, and occasional gatherings for local businesses and professional firms. Out in the High Weald, towards Pembury, Speldhurst, Langton Green and over the border into Sussex, it's weddings, milestone birthdays on private land and summer parties in paddocks and orchards.
Parking can be tight in the older parts of town, and some Victorian streets have narrow side access, so we plan unloading carefully. In the countryside, the challenge is more often a grass track or a soft field after rain.
- gardens of period houses in town
- barn and oast wedding venues in the High Weald
- marquees on private land towards Pembury and Speldhurst
- church halls and community centres
- school fairs and charity events
- village cricket clubs
BBQ catering in Tunbridge Wells
Not every event suits a whole pig. For Tunbridge Wells gatherings where people want choice — office lunches, club days, parties with lots of children — our BBQ catering is often the better fit: burgers, sausages and chicken cooked to order, with vegetarian and vegan options on their own grill space.
For summer parties with a lot of children, or where guests want to graze through the afternoon, a BBQ of burgers, sausages, chicken and halloumi usually suits better than a single carvery service.

Wedding hog roasts
Weddings around Tunbridge Wells often take place in converted barns and oasts, or in a marquee on family land just outside town. A hog roast works as a relaxed wedding breakfast with sharing bowls of salads, or as evening food once the speeches are done. We'll also help plan for guests who don't eat pork.
Wedding hog roast cateringCorporate events
Local firms, schools and charities use us for summer lunches, staff thank-yous and Christmas get-togethers. Where space is limited to a courtyard or car park, a compact BBQ set-up is often easier than a full hog roast machine.
Corporate hog roast and BBQ cateringBirthday & private parties
Our hog roast Tunbridge Wells bookings are mostly family occasions: 40ths through to 80ths, anniversaries, christenings and garden parties that start at lunchtime and go on into the evening. We serve, top up the counter and clear away while you look after your guests.
Birthday party catering · Private party cateringWhat we cook
Pork hog roast
The classic. A whole pig roasts slowly for hours until the meat is tender and the skin has turned to crackling, then we carve it to order — into soft rolls with stuffing and apple sauce, or onto plates with salads and potatoes.
Hog roast menuLamb roast
Spit-roasted whole lamb, seasoned with garlic and rosemary and carved to order. It's served with mint sauce, warm flatbreads and fresh salads — ideal when some guests don't eat pork.
Lamb roast cateringBBQ options
Beef burgers, pork sausages, marinated and BBQ-glazed chicken, veggie burgers, halloumi and plant-based sausages — pick three or four and we'll handle the rest.
BBQ packagesSides & salads
A roast without good sides is just meat in a bun. We make coleslaw and salads fresh, cook fries and sweet potato fries on site, and can add new potatoes, corn on the cob or a Greek-style salad depending on the season and the crowd.

Vegetarian, vegan & dietary options
Most Tunbridge Wells events have guests who don't eat pork, and many have vegetarians, vegans and people with allergies. We cook meat-free dishes separately when asked, label every dish, and can build a pork-free menu around lamb or the BBQ. Our allergen information explains what we can and can't guarantee.

Hog roast FAQs for Tunbridge Wells
Do you cover villages on the Sussex side of Tunbridge Wells?
Yes. The border runs just south of the town and we cater on both sides of it, including villages such as Groombridge, Frant and Wadhurst. Give us the postcode and we'll confirm.
Can you set up in a town-centre garden with limited access?
Usually. We can bring equipment through a side gate or passage if it's wide enough, and we're happy to serve from a patio. If access is very tight, a BBQ set-up is smaller and easier to carry in.
Can guests with dietary requirements be catered for?
Yes. Vegetarian and vegan mains are cooked separately on request and labelled, and allergen information is available for every dish. See our allergen and dietary information.
