Buckinghamshire is two quite different counties for a caterer. The south is the Chilterns: wooded hills, flint villages, beech hangers and valley towns strung along the M40 and the railway lines into London. The north opens out into the Vale of Aylesbury and the flatter farmland around Buckingham, with Milton Keynes and its enormous employer base at the top. Between them they give us barn weddings, riverside parties on the Thames, village fetes and some of the largest staff events we cater anywhere.
The service is the same wherever we go. We arrive early, cook the pork or lamb on site, carve it to order and bring the salads, breads, stuffing, sauces and potatoes that make a proper meal of it. Our hog roast catering is the classic, but plenty of Bucks events want a BBQ as well — or instead — and we're happy to run both from one set-up.

We cater all over Buckinghamshire, from the Thames at Marlow to the edge of Northamptonshire. These are the towns we're asked about most — each page has local notes, venue types and nearby areas.

South of the Chiltern escarpment, events tend to be private and rural. Couples marry in barns and marquees in the hills above High Wycombe and Amersham, families throw big birthday parties in the large gardens of Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross, and summer on the Thames at Marlow brings riverside parties and club events. Chesham, at the end of the Metropolitan line, has a strong community calendar of fetes, school events and clubs.
North of the hills the picture changes. Aylesbury is the county's administrative centre, surrounded by Vale villages with village halls, cricket clubs and farms. Buckingham is a small market town with its own university and countryside all round. And Milton Keynes — a separate unitary authority but still part of ceremonial Buckinghamshire — is where most of our large corporate work in the county comes from, with business parks, offices and warehouses along its grid roads and the M1.
The practical side varies as much as the landscape. Chilterns lanes are narrow and steep, some farm venues sit up long tracks, and valley-bottom fields can hold water after rain. Milton Keynes sites are the opposite: wide roads, big car parks and facilities teams who want method statements. We ask about access, parking and ground conditions whichever end of the county you're in.
A whole pig with crackling, stuffing and apple sauce is the classic; a spit-roast lamb suits pork-free guests and summer weddings; and a BBQ gives everyone a choice. Many Buckinghamshire events combine two. See our hog roast catering and spit-roast lamb pages for how each is cooked and served.

See the menuA BBQ suits the many Bucks events where people want choice: burgers, sausages, chicken, halloumi and plant-based options with salads and fries. It's especially popular for Milton Keynes staff days with tight lunch windows, cricket and sports-club events in the Vale, and school summer fairs across the Chilterns.
Run it on its own or alongside a hog roast — mixed menus are common here. The BBQ catering page explains the options, and the BBQ menu shows sample packages.

Chilterns barns, marquees on family farmland and country-house lawns across south Bucks are natural homes for a wedding hog roast. Some couples want it as the main meal — carved pork or lamb, bowls of salads and new potatoes, served buffet-style or taken to the tables. Many more keep a formal wedding breakfast and bring us in for the evening, when pork rolls with crackling and apple sauce go down better than anything else at ten o'clock.
In the north of the county, farm weddings around the Vale of Aylesbury and Buckingham tend to be larger and more relaxed, often with a BBQ running alongside the roast. Our wedding hog roast page explains how we plan the day, and the wedding guide covers timings and numbers.
Wedding hog roasts in BuckinghamshireMilton Keynes is the county's corporate engine, with head offices, logistics operations and business parks that routinely hold summer parties and staff days for hundreds of people. High Wycombe, Aylesbury and the M40 corridor add plenty more: office courtyards, industrial estates and business parks where a hog roast or BBQ is the easiest way to feed a whole workforce outside.
Speed of service, a clear dietary plan and good paperwork matter most for work events. We'll send what your facilities or health and safety team needs, agree the service window and run separate serving for vegetarian and vegan dishes. See corporate catering and our guide to planning a corporate BBQ.
Corporate hog roast & BBQ cateringBig gardens are one of Buckinghamshire's quiet advantages. In Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Amersham and the Chiltern villages there's often room for a hog roast machine, a serving gazebo and a hundred guests without anyone needing to hire a venue. Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and summer parties make up a big share of our Bucks diary.
Where gardens are smaller or access is tight, a BBQ set-up is more compact and still takes the cooking off your hands. Have a look at birthday party catering and private party catering for menu ideas.

About 110 day guests and a further 50 in the evening. Slow-roasted pork and lamb for the wedding breakfast with four salads and new potatoes, then pork rolls with crackling and apple sauce later on from the same roast. The farm track needed a smaller vehicle for the last stretch, which we planned for in advance.
Several hundred staff across two shifts at a business-park site off the grid roads. Two serving points — a hog roast counter and a BBQ — kept each shift's queue short, with vegan and vegetarian dishes cooked and served separately and every dish labelled.
Around 80 guests on a sloping lawn. We set up the roast on the level driveway, served from a gazebo counter near the house and had everything cleared away by the end of the evening.
Every menu comes with the salads, sides, breads and sauces that turn a roast into a proper meal — homemade coleslaw, leaf and tomato salads, potato salad, fries or sweet potato fries, and new potatoes in cooler months. Our guide to choosing your sides has ideas.
Vegetarian and vegan mains are cooked separately on request and clearly labelled, and allergen information is available for every dish. Read our allergen and dietary information before booking if any guests have allergies.
We cover the whole of Buckinghamshire, including Milton Keynes. When you enquire, give us the postcode, where we could park a van and trailer, and how far that is from the serving area. For rural Chilterns venues, tell us about gates, tracks and any steep or narrow approach.
Many country venues have approved-supplier lists or rules about gas, open flames and generators, and larger corporate sites often ask for risk assessments and insurance documents. Send us the requirements and we'll confirm what we can meet before you book.
Send the date, postcode, rough guest numbers and the kind of food you have in mind. A few lines is plenty to start.
We'll suggest a menu, service style and timings that suit the event, and send a clear written quote. Tweak it as much as you like.
Final numbers, dietary requirements, access, parking and timings are agreed in writing ahead of the day, so there are no surprises.
We arrive early, cook everything fresh on site, serve your guests from our counter, and leave the space clean and tidy.
Yes. We cater across the county — the Chilterns and south Bucks towns such as High Wycombe, Marlow and Gerrards Cross, the Vale around Aylesbury, Buckingham in the north, and Milton Keynes. Send us the postcode and we'll confirm.
Usually, yes. Some lanes and farm tracks are narrow, steep or soft after rain, so we'll ask about the route in, where we can park and how far we'll be carrying equipment. Occasionally we plan a different vehicle or a longer carry.
For big headcounts we usually recommend a hog roast with a BBQ running alongside, from two serving points, so the queue keeps moving and there's plenty of choice for dietary needs. Our corporate catering page has more detail.
It depends on guest numbers, menu, staffing and the site. We don't publish a fixed price because events vary so much. Our guide to hog roast costs explains what affects the price, and quotes are free.
Send the date, postcode and rough guest numbers — we'll reply with menu ideas and a clear quote.
