Our hog roast service in Ascot
Ascot is best known for its racecourse, which lines the high street and hosts the famous Royal meeting every June. Beyond the track, it's a place of large houses in wooded grounds, with pine, rhododendron and heathland running into Sunninghill, Sunningdale and the southern fringes of Windsor Great Park. The feel is quiet and leafy rather than busy, with small centres and plenty of space between homes.
That space is why so much of our Ascot work is private — big gardens with room for a roasting machine, a gazebo and a lot of guests. We cook on site, carve to order and bring every side and sauce, then clear everything away so the lawn looks as it did before.
We cater across Ascot as part of our hog roast catering in Berkshire. For the full picture of how we work, see our hog roast catering page.
Where we cater in Ascot
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries and summer parties in private grounds lead the way, often with marquees, along with home weddings for families with the room. Schools, polo and cricket clubs and charity events add to the calendar, and local firms and professional practices hold client and team events in gardens or hired grounds. The neighbouring villages of Sunninghill, Sunningdale, Cheapside and Winkfield are all part of the same pattern.
Race meetings change everything on the roads. During Royal Ascot week and other major race days, traffic around the high street and approach roads is heavy and some routes are managed, so we plan around the racing calendar. Otherwise, access is usually easy, though long gravel drives and gated entrances are worth describing.

BBQ catering in Ascot
Not every event suits a whole pig. For Ascot gatherings where people want choice — office lunches, club days, parties with lots of children — our BBQ catering is often the better fit: burgers, sausages and chicken cooked to order, with vegetarian and vegan options on their own grill space.
For teenage parties in Ascot gardens, a BBQ alongside the roast gives younger guests burgers and chicken while the adults queue for carved pork.

Events we cater in Ascot
Wedding hog roasts
A marquee on the lawn is a common Ascot wedding choice, and a hog roast fits it well — the machine sits away from the canvas, the carving counter becomes a gathering point and nobody needs a kitchen. Whole lamb with herby salads is a favourite second main here.
Catering for weddingsCorporate events
Client hospitality and smaller team events are the norm rather than big staff days. A hog roast Ascot client lunch tends to want a little polish: a lamb roast, well-presented salads and discreet service. We tailor the menu to the guest list.
Corporate cateringBirthday & private parties
Big birthdays, 18ths and 21sts, ruby and golden anniversaries and summer lunches make up most of our Ascot diary. With generous gardens, a hog roast and a BBQ can run side by side, keeping guests fed late into the evening.
Birthday party catering · Hog roasts for private partiesWhat we cook
Pork hog roast
The classic. A whole pig roasts slowly for hours until the meat is tender and the skin has turned to crackling, then we carve it to order — into soft rolls with stuffing and apple sauce, or onto plates with salads and potatoes.
Hog roast menuLamb roast
Spit-roasted whole lamb, seasoned with garlic and rosemary and carved to order. It's served with mint sauce, warm flatbreads and fresh salads — ideal when some guests don't eat pork.
Lamb roast cateringBBQ options
Grill favourites cooked to order: burgers, sausages, chicken thighs, halloumi skewers and vegan sausages, all served with rolls and a full sauce line-up.
BBQ packagesSides & salads
A roast without good sides is just meat in a bun. We make coleslaw and salads fresh, cook fries and sweet potato fries on site, and can add new potatoes, corn on the cob or a Greek-style salad depending on the season and the crowd.

Vegetarian, vegan & dietary options
Dietary needs are planned in from the start, not added at the end. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are cooked on separate equipment on request and clearly labelled, and allergen information is available for everything we serve. For guests with severe allergies, please talk to us before the event.

Hog roast FAQs for Ascot
Our party in Ascot is during Royal Ascot week. Can you still come?
Yes, but tell us early. Roads around the racecourse are very busy that week, so we'll plan the route and arrive well ahead of time. The same applies on other big race days.
Do you cover Sunninghill, Sunningdale and Winkfield?
We do, along with Cheapside, South Ascot, North Ascot and the villages towards Bracknell and Windsor.
Our drive is long gravel with electric gates. Is that OK?
That's fine. Tell us the gate width and whether there's space to turn a van and trailer. Gravel is no problem for our vehicles in dry weather.
Do you only do hog roasts, or can we have a BBQ in Ascot?
Both, and lamb too. Plenty of Ascot events have a BBQ on its own or alongside the hog roast. Have a look at the BBQ menu for ideas.
